Artist of the Moment - Jeremy Madl

Jeremy Madl, has been spent his time over the past 13 years designing custom toys and illustrations. After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Fine Art he has become some what of an icon with in a niche culture that has influenced the marketing of brands such as Scion, Pepsi, Makita, and Mattel. Since his work has ranged from everything from promotions and packaging to character design and premium custom toys his creativity has evolved and he may never just be seen as a designer from here on out. Grandmaster Flash Album f/ Snoop, Busta, Q-Tip & more

The wait is over. The first major Grandmaster Flash studio album for 20 years has now been completed and is due for release on Flash's Adrenaline City Entertainment label and Strut Records in Spring 2009. Entitled The Bridge: Concept Of A Culture, the album is the result of two years' solid writing and recording. "As a DJ, I've been blessed to see many different people, places and styles," Flash explains. "The album title represents all the bridges I've crossed worldwide."

The album features a stellar line-up of guest vocalists and MCs with Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Q-Tip, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane among the many contributing tracks and guest verses.

JOHN LEE HOOKER JR. RETURNS HOME FROM SUCCESSFUL OVERSEAS TOUR TO A GRAMMY NOMINATION!

After performing in front of sold out crowds in Europe, Turkey and Russia "superhero" blues man, John Lee Hooker, Jr., son of the late blues legend, John Lee Hooker, returned to the states just in time to receive news of his Grammy nomination, for his third CD release "All Odds Against Me." This is the second Grammy nomination for Hooker, Jr. who is nominated in the Best Traditional Blues Album category.

John Lee Hooker Jr. broke new blues ground with the enhanced CD that also includes the animated video release "Blues Ain't Nothin' But A Pimp". The video animation, created by Frenchman Laurent Mercier at the Callicore Animation Studios in Paris, has been embraced by hip hop audiences worldwide and has successfully served to bridge the generation gap between the two musical genres. 2009 Sundance Film Festival - Here It Is!

Sundance Institute has announced the program of short films selected to screen at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. This year the Festival's Short Film Program comprises a record 96 short films from 5,632 submissions, from U.S. and international filmmakers. Submissions grew by 10% over last year. The 2009 Sundance Film Festival runs January 15-25 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.

"The shorts program at Sundance has long been a place to discover new talent, and this year's directors are no exception," said John Cooper, Sundance Film Festival Director of Programming. "We are seeing very accomplished filmmaking, with some of the most entertaining and engaging films in the Festival."

"It is indicative of the quality of the work that we programmed a record 96 films this year. The program is terrific from top to bottom, with a nice balance of different genres, tones and styles," said Trevor Groth, Sundance Film Festival Senior Programmer. "From clever animation and really funny performances to provocative subject matters and completely bizarre imagery and stories, this year's filmmakers are truly original storytellers. We are thrilled to be able to present them in theatres at the Festival and a selection of them online through iTunes for those who can't make it to Park City." Read More
