Dillanthology Vol. 2



k7 is getting ready to release Dillanthology Vol. 2 at the end of the month. The series is a compilation of various remixes of Dilla’s work. Vol. 2 features unique remixes for artists including Busta Rhymes, The Pharcyde, De La Soul, Spacek and Slum Village plus some rare versions of The Artifacts and Masta Ace. Read On!

"Whole In The Wall: 1970-Now"



Porsche Cars North America, Inc. partnered with five famed New York City street artists participating this month in the largest U.S. exhibition of the genre, to unveil their latest works: Porsche 911 hoods.

The pieces are part of "Whole In The Wall: 1970-Now," a group show of 150 mostly contemporary works by 19 U.S., European and South American "street artists." In profile, they range from Old Masters of this genre -- graffiti "taggers" whose controversial first works appeared on NYC subway cars in the 1970s -- to painters, sculptors and photographers. Herbaliser

Back in 2000, West London’s funky, forward-thinking, experimental hip-hop collective The Herbaliser released their acclaimed double-vinyl album Session 1. Recorded in raw and organic studio jams, these expansive instrumentals marked the group’s evolution from studio boffins to full big-band line-up. The Guardian called the album “sterling proof that this kind of music invariably sounds better played by musicians than by a sampler” while Yahoo described it as an “effortlessly cool, super smooth journey around the set of an unmade Blaxploitation movie.” Read On!
