Mr. Lif "I Heard it Today"
Boston based hip-hop artist Mr. Lif has officially announced that he has completed his latest album titled, “I Heard it Today”. If you have not been keeping track, Mr. Lif has been recording and releasing 1-2 songs every three weeks over the past few months leading up to this election.
For those who are familiar with Mr. Lif you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. But for those who don’t, Mr. Lif is a lyricist at heart. To break that down simple, he’s talented, honest, and inspirational. When you get the chance to hear the whole album and let it soak in, expect to be blown back a bit.
“I Heard it Today” features other artists such as Willie Evans Jr, Edan, J Zone, and Bahamadia to just name a few. Even though his first to solo albums have been released on Definitive Jux, I believe that this album will be released on Bloodbot Tactical Enterprises. The new album’s release date is set for Inauguration day (Jan 20th 2009).
Lif has made a large portion of his library available on his myspace profile. We have no reason not believe him if he said this is just the beginning. Take the time to stop in and listen to the titled track, “I Heard it Today” on his mypsace player.
