Fish Outta Water
Chali is most likely best known for his distinctive voice and catalog of work as a member of the legendary hip-hop collective Jurassic 5. After a long career, Chali has just released his debut solo album, ‘Fish Outta Water’, which will not disappoint the true heads.
The album features a handful of top notch producers such as Jake One and Scott Storch and features a few guest lyricists like Beenie Man, Talib Kweli, Anthony Hamilton, Elzhi, Damian Marley and Stephen Marley. Chali has always had a talent for word play. The topics range from family and fatherhood to police brutality. It’s just amazing that after all this time this moment is finally here to recognize the man behind the voice and let you know that his solo album is here!
It’s non-commercial real hip-hop! What else would you expect? And if you didn’t know Chali is an artist as well. I believe he did the album cover and we may just feature some of his artwork in the near future.
