INVADERS MUST DIE - DETROIT

After emerging from the rave scene in the 90’s, their high octane breakbeat and electro fused dance music grabbed the attention of a diverse worldwide fan base. The Prodigy just opened the festivities for the annual Detroit Electronic Music Festival in support of their latest release, Invaders Must Die. Being that this was there first U.S. tour in years I walked in with no expectations and walked a way with a great new respect for this British based group.

Even though they are on tour supporting there new album the band performed a variety of old with the new. No fan should be left disappointed. For those that have never had the experience of seeing The Prodigy live there are a few things you should know. First of all this is a live show. A full band with two U.K. Jungle style MC’s that will leave your blood pumping for days. As the floors shake, sweat drips, guitars fly, and the bodies don’t stop moving! I never new something could be so hard and so beautiful at the same time. There was not a moment that I was not entertained.

If you haven’t checked out the new album, check out this video on Youtube:
