Turnatablist guru DJ Qbert and the ArtistWorks, Inc have teamed up to revolutionize the future of DJ education and are getting ready to launch the Qbert Skratch University.” The site was created to allow Qbert to interact with turntablists around the world and give them an opportunity to learn and evolve as artists.
This is how it works. uses a series of progressive videos to teach all levels of Scratching techniques from basic to exotic and beat juggling. This format of exchanging videos with a legendary Turntablist where the entire community learns is the first of its kind. Turntablists around the world use simple and innovative video management technology created by ArtistWorks. Student members post videos on the University site and using the latest in Internet video technology, Qbert responds to student videos, offering his personal guidance and suggestions. The Qbert Skratch University is due to launch later this month but is not set in stone. Check out the site and sign up for the newsletter to keep up to date.
