The acclaimed DJ and producer DJ Green Lantern has announced the first artist, Johnny Polygon, that he has signed to his label, Invasion Music Group. Johnny Polygon will be releasing his first EP, Group Hug, digitally on May 12, 2009.
Johnny came out of a little humble town called Tusa, Oklahoma. You could never tell from listening to his music unless he told you. He’s got this genuine thing going for him that most artists just don’t have anymore. The Group Hug EP has got a mix of hip-hop, R&B, and just enough pop to make keep it from put into a category with all these other cookie-cutter tracks being pumped out these days. Don’t take my word on it though, take a listen and see for yourself.
